RULES & REGULATIONS

The OLG Retailer PROLINE Quiz Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (“OLG” or the “Sponsor”). The Contest is managed by Splashdot (the “Contest Manager”), acting on behalf of the Sponsor for the purposes of this Contest. The Contest fulfillment is managed by The Marco Corporation (the “Contest Administrator”).

The Contest commences February 1, 2022 and ends on February 28, 2022 (the “Contest Entry Period”).

By entering this Contest, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and Regulations (the “Rules”) and the decisions of the Sponsor and the Contest Manager, which are final, binding and conclusive on all matters related to this Contest.

HOW TO ENTER (NO PURCHASE NECESSARY):

  1. OLG Retailers and their staff who sell lottery may be eligible to participate in the Retailer Proline Quiz Contest (“Contest”). Eligible Retailers (as defined in Section 2) will visit the OLG Retailer Hub to review segments of information related to PROLINE and the new sports at retail launch and respond to the True/False questions following each segment (“Quiz”). Eligible Retailers and their staff will need to complete the Quiz to receive an entry (“Entry”) which will be entered into a draw at the end of the Contest Entry Period. There is no requirement to achieve a minimum score to receive an Entry. Eligible Retailers and their staff are allowed one (1) Entry each. For clarity, a retail location may have multiple Entries from employed Eligible Retailers.

CONTEST ELIGIBILITY & CHANCES OF WINNING:

  1. This Contest is open to OLG Retailers and their staff who are:
    1. residents of Ontario, located in the province and are 18 years of age or older;
    2. employed at a retail location that sells lottery pursuant to an OLG Retailer Agreement; and
    3. an Insider on the OLG’s Lottery Terminal by selecting “COMPLETE INSIDER IDENTIFICATION” on the Retailer Identification menu, for the Contest Period and up until the time the Prize (as defined in Section 5) is received (“Eligible Retailer”).
  2. The odds of winning a Prize are dependent upon the total number of Entries received by February 28, 2022 (the “Contest Closing Date”).

PRIZES:

  1. There are six hundred (600) PROLINE prize packs (“Prize”) available to be won. Each prize pack is valued at approximately one-hundred Canadian dollars ($100 CAD) and includes a PROLINE backpack, Bluetooth speaker, water bottle, toque and touch screen gloves.

PRIZE DRAWS:

  1. On or around March 1, 2022, a total of six hundred (600) Entries will be randomly selected from all Entries received by the Contest Closing Date (“Potential Winning Entries”). Back-up entries (“Back-up Entries”) will be drawn as required in the event that one or more of the Potential Winning Entries do not qualify as per the Contest eligibility requirements, or do not follow any other Contest rules, as determined by OLG in its sole discretion. Individuals that hold Potential Winning Entries are “Potential Winners.”

WINNER NOTIFICATION:

  1. Each Potential Winner may be notified by phone or email by the Contest Administrator. Potential Winners must return any message sent by the Contest Administrator within the 24 hours from when the message was sent or the timeframe stipulated in the message to remain eligible to receive the Prize. Prize claiming details will be provided at the time of contact. It remains the responsibility of the Eligible Retailer to ensure the contact information entered is accurate.
  2. If within 24 hours of the first attempt (or the timeframe stipulated in the message) to contact a Potential Winner, he/she has not been able to be contacted or confirmed for the respective Prize or is otherwise found to be ineligible to receive the Prize, his/her Entry will be deemed invalid and he/she will be disqualified from winning any Prize. The Back-up Entries will be utilized according to the order in which they were drawn (in the event that one or more Back-up Entries are ineligible), and the process will continue until such time as a winner is declared or until there are no remaining Entries to select from.
  3. Once it is confirmed that a Potential Winner has met the eligibility requirements and completes all other steps required by OLG in its sole discretion, the individual will be a Confirmed Winner.
  4. If no winner is declared for any Prize, that Prize will not be awarded.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Any personal information collected by OLG or on OLG’s behalf by the Contest Manager and/or Contest Administrator, including but not limited to Eligible Retailers’ contact information, is collected pursuant to Section 3 of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation Act, 1999 and is intended to be used for the following purposes: to conduct and administer the Contest by OLG or through a Contest Manager or Contest Administrator, including, but not limited to contacting Eligible Retailers, validating eligibility and the awarding of the Prize(s).

  1. All Potential Winning Entries and Back-up Entries for the Contest will be destroyed by the Contest Manager on or after three (3) years from the corresponding draw date, with all other Entries for the Contest being destroyed by the Contest Manager on or after two (2) years from the corresponding draw date.

GENERAL RULES:

  1. This contest is sponsored by OLG (“Sponsor”) and is only open to Eligible Retailers, as defined in Section 2.
  2. All Entries when received become the property of OLG and none will be returned. Entries which have been obtained or made through fraudulent means are subject to disqualification and may be subject to further disciplinary action. If OLG deems an Entry has been obtained through fraudulent means, OLG reserves the right to disqualify that Entry. OLG will not be responsible for Entries lost, destroyed, misdirected or delayed for any reason whatsoever.
  3. No prize substitutions will be made, save for OLG’s right, at its sole discretion, to make prize substitutions of equivalent kind and value. Unclaimed Prizes will not be awarded.
  4. Prior to being confirmed as a Confirmed Winner, each Potential Winner may be required to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without mechanical or other aid. Without limiting the generality of the forgoing, OLG reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to administer an alternate test of skill as it deems appropriate based on the circumstances and/or to comply with applicable law.
  5. All participants must present valid government-issued photo identification upon request.
  6. OLG reserves the right to deny an Eligible Retailer or reject a Potential Winner, for any reason which, in its sole judgment and discretion, it deems proper.
  7. All Potential Winners will be required to sign a declaration and release, confirming contest eligibility, compliance with contest rules and releasing OLG and Contest Management Corporation from any liability in connection with the conduct of the Contest or the awarding of the Prizes before receiving a Prize.
  8. OLG is not responsible for commencing, continuing, or completing the Contest or awarding the Prizes in the event of circumstances beyond OLG’s control, and OLG and/or Contest Manager may, at its sole discretion, change or alter this Contest (and/or amend these Rules and Regulations), as OLG and/or Contest Manager deems necessary in its sole discretion. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, OLG and/or Contest Manager, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to delay the timing of any draw, or otherwise amend the timing of any other element of this Contest to satisfy any customer service or promotional integrity issues resulting from uncontrollable circumstances. An Eligible Retailer’s continued participation in this Contest signifies the acceptance of the revised Rules.
  9. It is expressly understood and agreed by all Eligible Retailers that OLG, Splashdot, and The Marco Corporation, do not accept responsibility, in whole or in part, for loss, damage or injury, whether direct or indirect, howsoever caused in connection with the Eligible Retailers participation in this Contest, any Prize or the conduct of this Contest.
  10. With respect to this Contest, all decisions of the Contest Manager, Contest Administrator, and/or OLG are final and binding with no right of appeal.
  11. Draw dates and times are subject to change without notice.
  12. All times and dates refer to Eastern Time ("ET").
  13. These Rules govern this Contest and must be complied with. By agreeing to participate in the Contest, all entrants agree to comply with, and be bound by these Rules.
  14. This Contest is subject to the Laws of the Province of Ontario and the Federal Laws of Canada as applicable.

OLG may, in its sole and absolute discretion, extend this Contest for any reason it deems appropriate. This includes, but is not limited to, satisfying promotional integrity issues, technical errors or issues.
